Starlike® Crystal.
Light becomes part of the joint.
For surfaces on which a rigid joint colour would be too much. Starlike® Crystal is a translucent, gel-based two-component epoxy resin grout. The joint visually picks up the light and colour shades of the adjacent glass mosaic – for a calm, coherent surface with crystalline depth.
The special effect
No hard line. A flowing transition.
Starlike® Crystal is not colourlessly invisible, but translucent and visually adaptive. That is precisely where the difference lies: light can work inside the joint, while colours from the neighbouring mosaic are picked up and carried on softly. With transparent or artistic glass mosaic in particular, this creates less of a grid – and more material presence.
Colour-adaptive
The joint visually steps back and takes on nuances of the adjacent tesserae instead of cutting through the surface with a fixed contrasting colour.
Close to the light
In backlit and brightly staged areas, the translucent structure supports a finer connection between glass, colour and light.
Technically robust
As a reactive epoxy resin grout of class RG, Crystal is waterproof, stain-repellent, UV-resistant and designed for indoor and outdoor use.

First choose the effect you want. The neutral Crystal effect lets the mosaic speak. A finish variant, by contrast, turns the joint itself into a visible design element.

Precisely pre-dosed: One 200 g pack of Shining Gold, Rusty or Bronze is used for a 5 kg bucket of Starlike® Crystal. The finish additive is worked completely and homogeneously into the prepared Crystal mixture in accordance with the current Litokol application instructions. The neutral Crystal effect and a metallic finish are two clearly different results – so make a conscious choice before mixing.

The crystalline effect is not a purely visual one. Starlike® Crystal combines ultra-pure glass microspheres with an epoxy gel formula designed for safety, hygiene and lasting surface quality.
Recycled Crystal Microsphere®
Level 2 technology with around 500 million glass microspheres per kilogram – for an even, dense and light-active joint structure.
Zherorisk®
Oxirane-free and without C12–C14. The current Litokol formula is geared towards safer application and a lower environmental impact.
Defender Anti-Microbial
The technology inhibits the growth of bacteria and mould on the surface – a relevant advantage in the bathroom, spa and pool.

Frequently asked questions about Starlike® Crystal
Is Starlike® Crystal completely transparent?
No. Crystal is translucent: it lets light take effect and visually picks up colour shades from the adjacent mosaic tiles. The result therefore always depends on material, joint width, substrate and lighting.
When is Crystal better than a fixed joint colour?
Above all with transparent, artistic or strongly iridescent glass mosaic. There, a fixed colour can unintentionally frame individual tesserae, while Crystal keeps the transitions visually calmer.
How do I choose between neutral, Bronze, Rusty and Shining Gold?
Neutral places the mosaic and its light effect at the centre. Bronze appears warm and restrained, Rusty darker and more striking, Shining Gold brighter and more radiant. If you are unsure, send Tiamont photos of the material in daylight.
Can Starlike® Crystal be used in a pool?
The product is impermeable to water and intended for suitable indoor and outdoor applications. In a pool, however, substrate, waterproofing, adhesive, mosaic, water chemistry and joint material must be planned and carried out professionally as a complete system.
How long does the mixture remain workable?
According to Litokol, the pot life is approximately one hour at +23 °C. Higher temperatures can shorten the working time. The current technical data sheet of the product supplied is always decisive.
The on-screen display of surface samples is not colour-binding. Technical values apply under the test conditions stated in each case and can be influenced by temperature, substrate and site conditions.
