Like a delicate glow within the glass: SICIS® Firefly Antartide combines mineral inclusions with silvery reflections. This glass mosaic gives your room lively depth and the distinctive atmosphere of a private retreat.

Antartide reveals its character through the interplay of transparent Smalto glass, mineral inclusions and a silvery leaf finish. Smooth, glossy surfaces and gently rounded edges capture the light in a finely structured mosaic design.
Both sides of the glass tesserae are finished. The paper mounting on the front keeps the backs free for full-surface bonding.

For professional installation
Lay the transparent glass mosaic with full adhesive coverage and minimal voids in an evenly light-coloured adhesive bed. In wet areas and pools, use a reactive adhesive and epoxy resin grout. Before grouting, the adhesive must be fully cured. The gaps between the tesserae must be clean and dry.

As a shower wall, recess or accent at the washbasin, Antartide brings delicate light reflections into your bathroom. SICIS® Firefly glass mosaic gives walls, floors and wet areas an expressive, glossy surface.
Pool & wellness
Firefly is suitable as a glass mosaic for pools and wellness areas. Its silvery reflections become particularly lively in the water; full-surface bonding with a reactive adhesive and epoxy resin grout complete the installation.

Carefully coordinated grout completes the mosaic design. The SICIS® colour recommendation for Antartide: Azzurro Polvere 310.
Litokol Starlike® EVO Azzurro Polvere 310 complements the mosaic with colour-stable, water-resistant epoxy resin grout.
05 · Installation
Precision that
preserves beauty.
- Prepare the substrateEnsure the substrate is flat, load-bearing and clean. In wet areas, proper waterproofing is part of the build-up.
- Bond with epoxy resinFor a light-coloured reactive adhesive bed, we recommend Litokol PowerGel® Pro Max Ultra Bianco: a white two-component (2K) epoxy resin adhesive of class R2 T.
- Align the mosaic designThe paper side faces outwards. Bed the sheets evenly; once the adhesive has fully cured, moisten the paper, peel it off diagonally and remove the glue residue.
- Complete the finishFill the dry, clean joints with Starlike® EVO Azzurro Polvere 310 and clean the surface within the specified cleaning window.

How do I clean my glass mosaic?
Use a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Then wipe with clean water and gently rub dry.
What preserves the shine?
Clean gently on a regular basis. Avoid rough sponges, abrasive cleaning agents and strongly acidic or alkaline cleaners.
What area am I ordering?
The order unit is 2 m² of nominal area. Nominal area and geometric sheet area are not the same. When planning your area, the key factors are the stated sheet dimensions, the number of whole sheets and the cutting waste. We will help you work out the quantity you need for your project.
