A new angle, a different nuance: SICIS® Glimmer 117 Papaya combines transparent glass with an iridescent shimmer. A glass mosaic for spaces that feel calm and reveal new facets with every change in light.

117 Papaya draws its character from the interplay of transparency and iridescent light. The smooth, glossy Smalto glass tesserae are finished on both sides and have gently rounded edges.
An evenly light-coloured adhesive bed with full coverage enhances the clear appearance of the glass. The paper mounting on the front leaves the entire back free for bonding.

For professional installation
Lay the transparent glass mosaic with full adhesive coverage and minimal voids in an evenly light-coloured adhesive bed. In wet areas and pools, use a reactive adhesive and epoxy resin grout. Before grouting, the adhesive must be fully cured. The gaps between the tesserae must be clean and dry.

Carefully coordinated grout completes the mosaic design. The SICIS® colour recommendation for 117 Papaya: Verde Salvia 400.
Litokol Starlike® EVO Verde Salvia 400 complements the mosaic with colour-stable, water-resistant epoxy resin grout.
05 · Installation
Precision that
preserves beauty.
- Prepare the substrateEnsure the substrate is flat, load-bearing and clean. In wet areas, proper waterproofing is part of the build-up.
- Bond with epoxy resinFor a light-coloured reactive adhesive bed, we recommend Litokol PowerGel® Pro Max Ultra Bianco: a white two-component (2K) epoxy resin adhesive of class R2 T.
- Align the mosaic designThe paper side faces outwards. Bed the sheets evenly; once the adhesive has fully cured, moisten the paper, peel it off diagonally and remove the glue residue.
- Complete the finishFill the dry, clean joints with Starlike® EVO Verde Salvia 400 and clean the surface within the specified cleaning window.

How do I clean my glass mosaic?
Use a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner. Then wipe with clean water and gently rub dry.
What preserves the shine?
Clean gently on a regular basis. Avoid rough sponges, abrasive cleaning agents and strongly acidic or alkaline cleaners.
What area am I ordering?
The order unit is 2 m² of nominal area. Nominal area and geometric sheet area are not the same. When planning your area, the key factors are the stated sheet dimensions, the number of whole sheets and the cutting waste. We will help you work out the quantity you need for your project.
For Glimmer, the SICIS catalogue states 22 sheets for 2 m² of nominal area. 22 × 295 × 295 mm works out at around 1.915 m², before cutting and waste.
