Super Pile Popcorn 803: Luxury Towels in Egyptian Giza 70 Cotton

Creamy popcorn yellow feels friendly, soft and filled with warm morning light. The shade Popcorn (803) meets the signature Super Pile quality of Abyss & Habidecor, creating a bathroom that looks elegant and feels special every day.

Made from 100% Egyptian Giza 70 cotton, these towels combine extra-long staple (ELS) fibres with a velvety-soft feel, excellent absorbency and lasting quality. Compared with ordinary cotton, the especially long, fine fibres have fewer protruding ends. This gives the fabric a smoother, softer feel against the skin and helps it retain its quality over time.

A distinctive feature of Super Pile is the use of Giza 70 cotton in all three weaving elements: warp, weft and pile, complemented by double-twisted yarn. A particularly high proportion of the fabric lies in the soft pile. Even at a substantial 700 gsm, the towel feels full without becoming stiff or overly dense: plush, supple and comfortable against the skin.

Each towel has the generous, understated presence you expect from a true luxury towel.

  • 100% Egyptian Giza 70 cotton

  • Giza 70 cotton in warp, weft and pile, woven with double-twisted yarn
  • Hand-sewn binding around the edges, rounded corners and just one concealed seam

The recommended four-piece set

The set shown in the product images provides a coordinated foundation for your daily bathing ritual:

  • 1 × bath towel, 70 × 140 cm
  • 1 × oversized hand towel, 60 × 110 cm
  • 1 × medium guest towel, 40 × 60 cm
  • 1 × small guest towel, 30 × 50 cm

A set or individual towels: your choice

The four-piece set is preselected as our recommendation. Alternatively, choose individual sizes and create an ensemble that suits your washbasin, shower, bath or guest bathroom.

Made especially for you in Portugal

Only after you place your order is each towel specially made and prewashed for you by Abyss & Habidecor in Portugal. It is then wrapped in its original protective film to preserve the fine terry quality. It reaches you as it left the workshop, carefully protected without unnecessary repackaging.

If you would like to complement your bathroom with coordinating bath rugs, bathrobes or cotton slippers, we would be happy to advise you and help you create a harmonious design for your space.

Choose the complete set or your preferred individual size in Popcorn (803), and turn your daily routine into a quiet luxury ritual.

When a towel becomes a daily ritual

A bathroom is not made of stone, light and furniture alone. It is also made of what you pick up every morning. Textiles sit closer to the skin than any surface in the room, and they help decide whether a bathroom feels cool or calm, functional or private.

Super Pile is made for exactly that moment: the minute after the bath, when a room turns into a suite of your own.

“Much about a towel can be measured. What counts in the end is felt in the hand: how heavy it lies, how it opens, how evenly the surface stays.”

The structure behind the feel

The extra long fibres of the Giza 70 cotton used here spin into finer, more even yarns. The result is a dense terry structure with few open fibre ends: the loops stand evenly, the surface stays smooth, the cloth keeps its fullness.

What looks like a fine relief up close is the reason for the full, quiet handle.

What stays with you every day

Quality shows quietly. The cloth takes up moisture at once without turning heavy, and settles softly around the shoulders. After washing, the pile stands up again.

Colour as part of the interior

Super Pile comes in around 60 shades. That choice is not an end in itself: in a bathroom, towels work like textiles in a living room.

Abyss & Habidecor, made in Portugal

The company was founded in 1977 and works near Viseu in Portugal. Abyss stands for towels and bathrobes, Habidecor for bath rugs. Both lines are made in the same place, with Egyptian cotton from the Giza region and production steps that still ask for a great deal of handwork: dyeing, checking, binding, stitching.

Today the collections are available in more than 60 countries, in hotels as much as in private bathrooms.

Frequently asked questions

What makes Abyss Super Pile special?

The combination of yarn, density and finishing. Super Pile is the most requested quality of the manufacture and is dyed in the same shade across every size, from wash mitt to bath sheet.

What does ELS cotton mean?

Extra Long Staple describes cotton with particularly long fibres. It yields finer yarns with fewer fibre ends, felt as a smoother, softer surface.

How do I find the right Super Pile colour for my bathroom?

Start from the largest material in the room, usually tile or stone. A shade slightly warmer keeps the bathroom calm, a clearly different one sets an accent.

Where are Abyss towels made?

In Portugal, at the Abyss & Habidecor manufacture near Viseu. Every piece is dyed, checked and finished there.
