What makes SICIS® glass mosaics so special?
SICIS® combines Italian mosaic art from Ravenna with modern production and an extraordinary wealth of colours. The small glass tesserae absorb light, reflect it and make surfaces appear different from every angle. The result is not a rigid wall covering but a living surface with spatial depth.
The tesserae come pre-mounted on easy-to-install mosaic sheets. This allows you to design not only flat surfaces but also curves, niches, columns, shelves and other architectural details. Characteristic colour nuances and slight irregularities are not flaws, they are part of the material's distinctive character.
Which SICIS® glass mosaics suit you?
Each of the nine collections available at Tiamont has a character of its own. Colibrì impresses with metallic shimmering depth. Firefly combines transparent glass with minerals and silvery luminous inclusions. Glimmer appears transparent and iridescent, while Iridium produces intense colour shifts in the light.
Murano Smalto stands for powerful colours and the particular depth of traditional smalto glass paste. Natural convinces with calm, harmonious shades, Pluma with an elegant satin surface. Waterglass brings transparent lightness into the room. Fibers Thick sets three-dimensional accents with its sculptural, slat-like structure.
The different glass effects combine beautifully with marble, natural stone and other high-quality surfaces.
Where can SICIS® glass mosaics be used?
SICIS® glass mosaics open up versatile design possibilities for interiors, outdoor areas and wet areas. Depending on the version, they are suitable for walls, floors, showers, washing areas, spa areas, pools, kitchens, façades and prestigious living spaces. Thanks to their small format, the tesserae also follow curves, edges and individual shapes.
For floor surfaces, walk-in showers and pool areas, special SICIS® Grip versions are available for suitable mosaics. Striking design and the requirements of the respective area thus go hand in hand.
When calculating quantities, an allowance of around 10 percent for cutting and reserve is recommended, depending on the shape of the room and the laying pattern. Tiamont is happy to help you determine the right quantity.
